The Systems Engineer will be responsible for validating consistent baselines including Operating System levels, firmware levels, TCP/IP ports, system services, software versions and patch levels of the various types of cyber assets comprising our cyber system. The activities will require gathering evidence and clearly documenting activities validating compliance through defined forms. The resource will also assist with evaluating cyber vulnerability reports received from manufacturers of various hardware and software associated with the cyber assets and through various other forums. The cyber vulnerability reports will be evaluated to determine potential impact to company's Cyber Systems. For applicable vulnerabilities, this Engineer will be required to assess and clearly document vulnerability mitigation plans that should be executed in advance of patch or fix application to minimize risk to the cyber system. It is expected that the resource will have an active role in assessing current procedures; assuring documentation is clear/accurate; and developing/implementing more efficient tools/procedures to assure compliance. Work will involve usage of a custom, internally developed, on premise ticketing system used to track compliance and collect evidence. The required responsibilities will require an onsite presence. A small subset of the required tasks may be able to be performed remotely once the resource(s) are completely familiar with the procedures, tools and compliance requirements. The job will require this Engineer to be primarily located onsite. The person may be required to travel to Rochester, NY locations to fulfill job requirements. Travel is not anticipated to be more than a few days each month. (Less than 15%). Initial engagement will be for a term of 6 months and may be extended in 1 year increments. Job requirements: Required to have an acute attention to detail and a high-level of personal integrity. Must be confident in asking questions of company's team members and applying their knowledge to bring attention to concerns. Must have reliable attendance with clear, advanced coordination of time away from work. Must be comfortable navigating within Linux and UNIX command line environments. Must be able to understand Cisco network and firewall configurations. Must have a solid understanding of the TCP/IP protocol and associated ports and services

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
