Established automotive repair shop looking to hire an entry level technician

Vandervort's service center has been in business for over 30 years. We offer comprehensive auto repair services that include general undercar services, tires, alignment, brakes, engine & transmission replacement, all engine maintenance, heating and cooling services, electrical services, electronic diagnostic services and many miscellaneous services. Our technicians have domain expertise in domestic cars & trucks, import cars & trucks and towing. Our goal is to have our team offer the best services available at affordable prices. Our job is to inform customers what is wrong with their vehicle and make suggestions for current and future repairs. In general, the shop is characterized by a strong team work ethic.

Job Description

If you looking to establish a career with a family owned business, look no more. We need someone with motivation to be a team player and learn all aspects of the business. Training and up-to-date skills are important to our shop. We have some of the best equipment in the industry. For example, Snap-on Tpms tool, Snap-on verus scan tool, Hunter tire machine and 2016 Hoffman Aligner. You will also be interacting with customers by answering the phone, scheduling appointments and explaining needed repairs.

We are looking for a highly motivated entry level technician that wants to grow his/her career.

Job Requirements

? ?Valid driver?s license with reliable transportation

? ?High school degree or equivalent

? ?Able to fill out courtesy vehicle checklist

? ?Know how to set a lift safely

? ?Basic automotive knowledge (brakes, front ends, oil changes etc.)

? ?Have at least a BOCES certificate

? ?Have some of your own tools. Shop has tools

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
