Job Description

TheStaging Technician is responsible for preparing the finished prescription aswell as other light warehouse duties.

Essential Functions

  • Assistpharmacists by sorting medications

  • Check racks/binsbefore each delivery departure for missing meds

  • Complies withdepartmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

  • During downtimes, may assist pharmacy floor for additional support

  • Ensure allmedications are scanned into the computer system (Frameworks) and stagedcorrectly for each delivery

  • Ensure allmedications are sorted/packed as required inside totes

  • Ensure that allnecessary packaging documents are attached to each tote before handing it tothe delivery personnel

  • Follow allapplicable government regulations including HIPPA

  • Prep for theday, set up delivery totes/stickers

  • Prepare deliverymanifests, packing slips and ancillary paperwork (MCRs, TSP notifications etc.)to correspond to appropriate facility

  • Retrieve finalreviewed medication baskets/carts from RPh final review stations (includingSTATs)

  • Scan allmedications pending for delivery using Frameworks

  • Scans manifestsinto system for confirmation of delivery

  • Sort allbaskets/carts of final reviewed medications according to facility units,location and delivery times

  • Sortingmedications by routes

  • Toting/Baggingmedications for delivery

  • Other duties asassigned

  • Overtime,holidays and weekends may be required and/or expected

  • Ability to meetphysical demands involving extended periods of standing, walking, bending,kneeling and reaching

Work Environment:

This position operatesin a long-term care facility. This role may use standard office and/or pharmacyequipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, rollingcarts, fax machines and etc. A large portion of work shall be performed in thelong-term care facility where the noise may be loud.

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hoursper day

  • The employee is occasionally required tosit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawlintermittently

  • May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Required Education and Experience:

o High School diploma or GED

o Ability to keep up at a moderatespeed

Preferred Education andExperience:

o Previous pharmacy technicianexperience

o Previous warehouse experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
