1K a year 19 hours ago 19 hours ago 19 hours ago Vestal Park Rehab has an opportunity for the Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager position for our 40 nursing unit, we are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager with a background in Long term care and/or Gerontology, who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our residents! Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON), the Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager will be responsible for managing a 40-bed nursing unit.
The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager will assume responsibility for the overall assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to facilitate and deliver comprehensive quality nursing care.
The Unit Manager plays a key role in creating a positive experience for both residents and staff.
Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager
Responsibilities:
Ensures that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained Ensures that a safe and effective resident care environment is maintained at all times Supervisory Responsibilities Assists in planning, organizing, directing, supervising and evaluating all nursing services provided in the facility to achieve desired clinical outcomes Assist in ensuring that facility is in compliance with all regulatory requirements Assists in ensuring necessary equipment, supplies, and staffing are available for the delivery of the prescribed resident/patient care Completes rounds of their unit to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations Receives and handles family and resident complaints Assists in ensuring customer service standards for the nursing department Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy and dignity Attends meetings pertaining to their unit and staff as needed Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Requirements/
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care setting Licensed in NYS as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nures (LPN) OR Social Worker with background in Long term care and/or Gerontology Compassion and desire to work with geriatric population.
